Everett MA News is an independent local news site covering the City of Everett, Massachusetts. We publish what the public bodies of the city decide and why, what the police and fire departments record, what is opening and closing on the main streets, the schools, the sports teams, and the lives of the people who live here, in English and in Spanish.
Where the news comes from
Most of what we publish starts with a public record: a meeting agenda and transcript, a police log, a court filing, a grant notice, a funeral home announcement. We read the record, attend or watch the meeting, and tell you what it says in plain language, with the vote counts and the dollar figures. When we quote someone, the quote comes from the public record or from the person directly. We do not run press releases as news.
How we pay for it
Everett MA News is free to read and is supported by advertising. Advertising is sold and served by third-party networks, and advertisers have no say in what we cover or how. See our privacy policy for what those networks collect.
Corrections
