Everett police made seven arrests between Monday, October 12 and Sunday, October 18, the fewest of any week in October, according to the department’s weekly arrest log. Two were shoplifting cases, one a traffic stop that turned up an unlicensed driver, and four involved outstanding warrants. Only one person listed an Everett address.

Shoplifting

  • Lance Rouse, 52, of 50 Hood Park Drive, Boston, was arrested on October 14 and charged with trespassing and shoplifting by concealing merchandise. He was also held on a failure to appear warrant (case 978828).
  • Alyssa Marie Wright, 28, of 10 Sawyer Street, Wareham, was arrested on October 18 and charged with shoplifting by asportation, the legal term for carrying goods away. She was also held on default warrants from Lowell and Boston district courts (case 979125).

Traffic

  • Thulio Andre Guedes Bento, 22, of 16 James Street, Malden, was arrested on October 18 and charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation and operating an unregistered motor vehicle (case 979118).
  • Aidan H. Olivier Louis, 22, of 21A Mystic River Road, Medford, was arrested on October 16 and charged with failing to signal (case 978953). A signal violation is normally a civil citation; the log does not say what led to a custodial arrest.

Warrants and a courtesy booking

  • Brittany Jordan Hersey, 36, of 108A Clarence Street, Everett, arrested October 15 on a failure to appear warrant (case 978921).
  • Sunjeon J. Atterberry, 25, of 65 Old Mamaroneck Road, White Plains, N.Y., arrested October 16 on two failure to appear warrants (case 978980).
  • Nicholas Andrew Spagnola, 38, of 650 Ocean Avenue, Revere, was booked on October 18 as a courtesy booking for Marblehead police (case 979130). A courtesy booking means another department’s arrest was processed at the Everett station.

The week in numbers

Seven arrests, five men and two women, ages 22 to 52. Addresses ran from Everett and Malden to Boston, Medford, Revere, Wareham and White Plains, N.Y. Across the first three weekly logs of October, Everett police recorded 25 arrests, and 11 of those involved at least one outstanding warrant.

Entries are taken from the Everett Police Department’s weekly arrest log, a public record posted at everettpolicema.com. An arrest is an accusation. Every person listed is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in court. Charges are listed as the department recorded them; some entries were truncated in the original log. People who believe their entry is in error may contact the newsroom for a correction.
