[0:35:02] Ms. Cristiano. Mr. D’Onofrio. Ms. Garren. Present. Mr. LaMonica. Mayor Van Campen. Present. Chairperson Hurley. Present. Seven members present. We do have a quorum if everyone can join me in saluting the flag. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you, everyone. Before we get to our regular order of business, I just want to extend the regrets of school committee member Jeanie Cristiano, school committee member Jill LaMonica, and our student representative Samira, who were unable to attend this evening.
[0:35:54] Superintendent, the first order of business. Roman numeral three, reading of the records for Monday, October the 19th, 2026. Make a motion to waive the reading of the records and place them on file. Second. Motion made by Ms. Babcock, seconded by Mayor Van Campen to waive the reading for Monday, October 19th, 2026 and place on file. All those in favor? All those opposed? The ayes have it. Motion passed. Superintendent, the next order of business. Roman numeral four, public comment. Make a motion to open public comment. Motion has been made and seconded to open public comment. All those in favor? All those opposed? The ayes have it. Public comment is now open. I don’t have anyone on our sign-up sheet. Is there anyone that would like to speak at public comment?
[0:36:40] Seeing none. Move to close public comment. Second. Motion has been made and seconded to close public comment. All those in favor? All those opposed? Superintendent, the next order of business. Roman numeral five is report of the student representative but as you know, she is absent this evening. So let’s go to Roman numeral six, report of the superintendent and madam chair, I’d request that you take out of order item number two which is our student spotlight. Second. You. So moved. Sorry. Motion has been made and seconded to suspend our rules and take Roman numeral six item number two school spotlight, Webster school out of order. All those in favor? All those opposed? The ayes have it.
[0:37:28] The item is before us. As you know, each month I’d like to have a school representative come to the school committee meeting and present their projects or something that has occurred at the school that they’d like to share with all of us here at the school committee and certainly for folks watching at home and tonight. I’m pleased to say that the principal of the Webster school is coming before us tonight with your approval and what she will do with along with grade five teachers, Jen Cuthbert and Whitney DeSantis they’re going to bring some students forward to talk about their projects so madam chair and members of the committee, I’d ask you to invite the Webster team forward to the podium. So moved. Second the motion.
[0:38:10] Motion made by Ms. Cardello, seconded by Ms. Cornelia to invite our guests before us. All those in favor? Aye. All those opposed? The ayes have it. Welcome everyone. Thank you. Good evening everyone. Thank you so much for having us. We’re really happy to be here. As you may or may not know, fifth grade is the first year that students take the science MCAS. Historically, students at the Webster school have performed very well. The percentage of students meeting or exceeding expectations on the science MCAS at the Webster school is usually very similar to the state averages and some years has even surpassed state averages. Our teachers do a lot of really great hands on explorations and engaging activities, experiments.
[0:38:56] Last week they dissected a sheep’s eye. I didn’t bring that today. We wanted to spare you of the visuals from that, rather we brought some very visually appealing projects that students worked incredibly hard on. As you can see, they got very creative in the materials that they used for the phases of the moon. This is a fifth grade standard that they go into a lot of depth. I think as a principal, the thing that was the most fun to see was watching all of the fifth graders present these projects in the cafeteria to our younger grades. They opened it up to all of the students at the Webster school and seeing them present them and explaining the phases of the moon was a very enjoyable experience for all of us teachers and me as a principal.
[0:39:42] I’m going to turn it over to Jen Cuthbert. She’s our fifth grade science teacher and she’s going to talk a little bit more about the phases of the moon project specifically. Good evening. We study a lot of the energies in fifth grade. It’s one of the standards that’s on MCAS. We just finished a unit on light energy. While we learn about the behaviors of light and what light can do, I also incorporate the phases of the moon because of reflection. We ask the kids to create their own 3D model of the moon phases using any materials they could. We encourage them to go in their recycling bins and find some materials that were laying around their house. We had everything from tennis balls to styrofoam to Oreo cookies to
[0:40:26] all different kinds of round objects that could be the phases of the moon. If it’s okay with you, we would like to bring some of our fabulous fifth graders up. We have Nathaniel, Marcus, Kimberly, Joy, Louise, Matteo, and last but not least, Aya. Do you guys want to come? And this is Whitney DeSantis. She’s a fifth grade teacher as well. So you can see we have some that are motorized and we just have a various amount of objects so the kids did a really fabulous job. Some used lights. Hello everybody.
[0:41:32] Hello guys. Hello everybody. I am Nathaniel. You might know me as Nathaniel. I’m Nathaniel. So my project here, I use stone balls which we bought from off Amazon. And we use some black paint colored board. Yes, it might look a little crusty but it is what it is. And we have glitter here. Oh yeah. So fancy. So fancy. Why did you put the earth in the middle?
[0:42:20] Well, the reason why the earth is in the middle it’s because the moons orbit around the earth. So I have nothing else to say so that’s it for my presentation. Very good. Louise won first place for the projects. Very nice. Hi. On my project I use a motor and I use styrofoam balls and I use lollipop sticks for the moons.
[0:43:12] Very good. That’s all. Thank you Louise. Okay. Hi. I’m Kimberly and I wanted to show my project. What I used was styrofoam lights, paint and paper to make my project. And what I learned was we were learning about light energy and stuff like electricity and this was a part of it by the moon and stuff about light. Light.
[0:44:00] That’s what I learned and what I used for my project. Thank you. We have one more student who would like to present. Mateo, come on up honey. My name is Mateo Minos. I built my project with lights and I also put string lights for the stars and I used styrofoam to make my earth and my sun and I put a light inside of my sun to make it glow.
[0:44:48] Great job Mateo. Hi my name is Joy and as you can see I use styrofoam for the I use styrofoam for the earth and then I use a half plate for the sun and I use markers and glitters for the stars and I also use styrofoam for the eight phases of the moon. Thank you. So as you can see our students had the opportunity to be very creative in their way of displaying their understanding of the phases of the moon.
[0:45:36] If you have any questions for us we’d be happy to answer any questions or comments that you might have. Thank you very much. Ms. Babcock. Did they work on these projects in school or at home or a little bit of both? A little bit of both but I would say mostly at home. This was mostly a home project. Awesome. Thank you Ms. Babcock. Ms. Cardillo. Thank you Madam President. Through you to the group. I just want to say thank you. You made my night. This is so amazing and it’s like we learn a lot from you. So thank you for all your resources and all the hard work that went into making these things and we really enjoy it. You made our night. Thank you all very much. Thank you Ms. Cardillo. Ms. Cornelio. I’d like to say thank you to all
[0:46:24] of you too and the teachers. I love the creativity and that they got to express their own creativity and how they wanted to present it and you all did a fabulous job. Awesome job guys. Thank you Ms. Cornelio. I too would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for coming and showing us your fun projects. I like visual projects. It reminds me of like science fair back in the day. These are great. Good job everybody and thank you for visiting us tonight. Applause. Are there any other further questions or comments? Mr. Barros. I just want to say that to our educators thank you so much. I still remember my science teacher and that was a long time ago. But I still remember some of the projects. Not as amazing as these projects. But I never
[0:47:16] forgot two of them that I had. So thank you for what you do for them. And I would just like to say thank you to the parents who are here as well. They did so much to support their students as they made these such incredible. They went above and beyond really. They really did. Ms. Babcock. One last comment. I want to just say I think that experiential learning like this. Hands on learning is what you remember. Because I definitely remember my science projects and I remember my daughter’s science projects and having those opportunities to be creative. That sticks with you. In fact we may have a diorama still at our house. So I think that experimental learning is really important for diverse learners like these guys. And I bet you guys
[0:47:58] loved it right? Did you love making these projects? Yes? Are you proud of everything that you did? Yeah. Well we’re proud of you. Thank you. Thank you everybody. I’ll second Ms. Cardello’s motion. Motion made and seconded to excuse our guests. All those in favor? All those opposed? The ayes have it. Thank you very much for coming tonight. Jen. Thank you all. Could we entertain a motion to return to the regular order? Make a motion to return to the normal order of business. Second. Motion has been made and seconded to return to the regular order of business. All those in favor? Aye.
[0:48:48] All those opposed? The ayes have it. Thank you very much. Motion passed. Superintendent, the next order of business. Item number one is the superintendents update. So thank you very much. I wanted just to remind parents at home that there will be no school tomorrow. Tomorrow is election day and as we usually do we close our school buildings for class time because most of our buildings are used for polling places. However we do professional development for our teaching and professional staff during the day in the buildings. Administration is here as well as Vine Street so next week there’s no school on Wednesday November 11th which is in honor of our veterans so it’s veterans day. And the next school committee meeting would be
[0:49:28] Monday November the 16th so that’s just a few housekeeping items I wanted to be sure folks at home also were aware of. We may or many of you may have seen the announcement and we had certainly teed it up at our last meeting that Everett High School received a million over a million dollars to redo some of our technical education programs here at Everett High School. This was a grant by the Healy Driscoll administration and this will fund some initiatives here at Everett High School and we’ll be rebuilding and expanding our facilities to accommodate medical assisting and programming and web development here at Everett High School so that is a big help to us. It doesn’t come out of our city coffers, our school department
[0:50:12] budget so once again I’d like to thank the Healy Driscoll administration for supporting funding programs like this and expanding opportunities for our young people to really become more creative in what they want to do as a pathway out of Everett High School so thank you for that money. We’ll probably actually expand seat capacity by 95 students so we’re really grateful for that. I’d also like to congratulate the Everett High School debate team the Spanish debate team for a sensational performance at the Boston debate league competition on October the 23rd and the 24th at Boston Latin Academy. We had many many of our students come in in various categories in the varsity division. Santiago Terrizo placed second overall which was a significant
[0:51:02] accomplishment. We also had placements in the novice division. Fernando Perez, Damaris Velasquez, Jonathan Morales and Gabriel Escobar all placed in the novice division along with Fernando and Damaris also finished second as a team so we were very well represented and certainly our students were very strong on their performance and I want to thank them and quite frankly their faculty advisors who really provide so much support and help. Ms. Ruth Caradona Suarez and Randy Boudreau so thank you so much to our advisors for helping our students along. Many of you have been probably following Everett sports and football in particular. Everett High School football team earned a spot in the MIAA division one playoffs.
[0:51:52] This is significant. This is the first time it’s happened in quite some time. I’d like to congratulate our coaching staff and in particular Rob DiLoreto because for the first time since 2022 we’ll be playing a game this Friday actually November the 6th versus Central Catholic which is number three in division one so it’s a tough, it’s going to be a tough game but we’re hoping that our fans will continue to follow the game and cheer our folks on. This wasn’t an easy win as you know our team has worked hard all year with a very good turnout of folks because they saw the energy, the excitement of not only the coaching staff but certainly the players and I think that enthusiasm helped bring our kids to a strong place in division one so thank you to all of those
[0:52:42] young people who worked so hard to get this accomplishment this year. I also wanted to acknowledge John Presutti and the Crimson Tide girls soccer team who qualified for the MIAA division one tournament with a 9-4-5 regular season record. This is also a strong accomplishment for our young ladies and I want to congratulate all of the teams really who played this fall for a tremendous well played sport. All of our young people were so I’m so proud of them really quite frankly the way they handled themselves on and off the field or wherever they are there’s truly a lot to be thankful for them because they certainly represent the best of Everett. I thank them and the coaching staff for all that they’ve done.
[0:53:30] We have a special ed parent advisory committee meeting on November the 17th in which they’ll hold elections so parents who would like to participate that will be held at 6 o’clock at the Madeline English School. If any parent is interested in running for any of the officers of that organization president, vice president, treasurer or any of the two secretary positions that they have please contact our director of special ed Seamus Brady and he’ll be sure that you’re on the agenda for that evening’s vote. Also families are welcome to bring their children to that meeting as well. I know sometimes parents have concerns about bringing students young people to meetings. We welcome them to bring them as well. And finally
[0:54:12] just a reminder that this Wednesday the Kiwanis Club of Everett will hold its annual pasta dinner which I know many of you are going to join members of the Everett public school community at the Conley Center from 4 to 7. As you know that the Kiwanis in particular are very generous to our students through scholarship and a lot of direct support to students in need and this benefit most of the proceeds do eventually come to Everett High School students. So for those of you at home that want to join us this Wednesday for $7 that’s an all you can eat Italian dinner at the Conley Center from 4 to 7. And last but not least the Everett High School Band had a very busy and successful weekend. They were on hand for Friday’s
[0:54:58] game as you probably know that they play at our games in classical but on Saturday the band traveled to the US Bands Massachusetts State Championship in Stoughton where they finished first in their division and earned top honors in music, percussion, color guard and general effects categories. Their whirlwind weekend concluded yesterday at Harvard Stadium for the New England Scholastic Band regional championships. They finished fourth in the division the largest division which is in that whole competition so again our young people really do us proud in everything that they compete in and the band is no exception. As always they bring great accolades back to Everett High School and Everett Public School so thank you to Mr. O’Brien and his staff
[0:55:40] for bringing our students to a place of prominence each and every time they compete. Madam Chair, members of the committee that is my report. Thank you Superintendent. Ms. Babcock. I just wanted to add to I’m so glad that you brought up the girls soccer too. This is the first time in 15 years that they have made it to the playoffs and I was present for their last win which went to penalty kicks. It was truly exciting and I’m so proud because my daughter was on that team for four years and I’ve been following soccer in the city for a long time and the joy that it brought these girls. We’re so proud of them. Looking forward to find out what their schedule is. I don’t think it’s quite out yet but Thursday? Okay perfect.
[0:56:26] Thank you for remembering them. My pleasure. Thank you Ms. Babcock. Make a motion to accept the report of the Superintendent. Second the motion. Motion made by Ms. Babcock, seconded by Mr. Barrows to accept the report of the Superintendent. All those in favor? All those opposed? The ayes have it. Motion passed. Superintendent the next order of business. Item number three is the Superintendent’s evaluation for 25-26 school year. Thank you. If I may from the Chair I would like to request that the matter of the Superintendent’s evaluation be referred to the ad hoc subcommittee for the purpose of reviewing materials organizing the evaluation process and developing a framework to guide the membership through the process
[0:57:08] just like last time. The subcommittee will help ensure the process is consistent with DESE guidelines and aligned with our responsibilities. Motion to second. Motion has been made by Ms. Cardello, seconded by Mr. Barrows to refer this item into the ad hoc for the Superintendent’s evaluation. Roll call. Mr. Almeda Barrows? Yes. Ms. Babcock? Yes. Ms. Cardello? Yes. Ms. Cornelio? Yes. Ms. Garan? Yes. Mayor Van Campen? Yes. Madam Chair? Yes. So moved 7-0. Motion passed. Superintendent the next order of business. Item number four is a review of the goals for the Superintendent for 26-27 school year. Madam Chair, members of the committee the goals that I’ve selected for your consideration for this year’s evaluation not the year that you’re going to look at in
[0:58:00] the subcommittee but the year that we’re currently in just by way of explanation the goals and the subcategories of the goals are set forth by DESE so the guidelines that I think you’ll be discussing in the evaluation committee outline what you’re going to review in this past year’s goals that I set and that you adopted and accepted last year. This year is no different. They’re in various categories and I’d like to just quickly go through them so that you understand what I’ve been working towards already as the school year has already begun. I did have a conversation with the chair of the school committee over the summer and just gave her an indication of what my goals were going to be as I started to flesh them out so
[0:58:42] Madam Chair, members of the committee with your indulgence I’ll kind of quickly go through them and I think Mr. O’Connor you have some slides to show. The first is the student learning goal. Again this is a category described by DESE that superintendents across the board would have to provide at least one goal to provide to the school committee for consideration and this is to my goal is to explore and evaluate the currency of a cyber security education program which provides students with access to cyber security curriculum, industry recognized training, career pathway exploration and workforce readiness opportunities in the growing field of information technology and cyber security that would lead to a career path and opportunity
[0:59:24] upon graduation and I think you know we have pathways here at the high school that many of those pathways lead directly to employment once they graduate if they so choose. This is one of those areas that I think it’s certainly emerging and it’s if you will I think that we’re right on the cusp of you know providing our students with a pathway that would get them right into a job that has sustainable wages and so I’d like that to be what I work on and I’ve continued to pay attention to this because I knew this was something that had been an interest and I’ve talked to folks around the district and outside of the district about the opportunities it could leave for our students so I’ve placed that as a goal for my concentration this year so that
[1:00:10] we could have you know quite frankly something available to our students that will as I said allow them to earn a sustainable a sustainable wage excuse me. The second goal is a professional practice goal. This is again a standard or a goal that a category that’s established by DESE implement with fidelity the strategic planning goals through action planning to fulfill the district’s mission and priorities establish clear measures of progress and accountability and ensure that the district initiatives, resources and practices remain aligned to improving outcomes for all students. As you know we did do the planning session a strategic planning session. There were goals associated with that work. Each of those goals will have
[1:00:54] action plans attached to them so that at the end of each of these next three years I can report back to the school committee and to the people at home and others who may be interested in what we’re doing here in Everett of the outcomes of each of those strategic goals and the efforts that many people will take and undertake over the next three years to accomplish that. So I think that that was the natural for this to be in that category. District improvement goals I have several I think that these have the very broad impact and I’d like each of them to come through fruition for different reasons, different outcomes. The home visit program as you may remember last year we initiated with some seed money from the University of California and
[1:01:40] with some additional title money that we had available to use and where we took our faculty and others who wish to go to homes and or places that people wanted to meet with our staff to talk about our students and their future and where they were at. I wanted to expand that because we saw great results we saw great community engagement family engagement. It was very well received by families. We have sent out and received over 60 teachers that want to participate this year because they saw the outcomes last year with great results. So I’m going to expand it as I mentioned so that we could do those home visits throughout the school year and so we could potentially see stronger results with that. It also affords itself to not only the strong relationships
[1:02:30] but we learn more about the entire family dynamic. We potentially could see anywhere where we could step in and help our office services or refer services. It certainly adds to retention in the classroom and attendance and reduces tardiness as well. So there’s plenty of research out there and as I said we did receive some additional money this year. We reapplied for some additional money from the University of California. They granted it because they saw our results from our first pilot if you will and as I said we would like to expand it so we’re working towards that goal already. I’m engaging or would like to engage a qualified facilities consultant to conduct a comprehensive assessment of all district school buildings and develop a long term
[1:03:14] prioritized capital improvement plan that identifies facility needs addresses health and safety considerations supports educational program and programming and a comprehensive maintenance plan. One thing I did tell our new mayor at the time that I was concerned about the capital improvement plan that the district had been working off with over several years and I wasn’t really sure how all those items got to a list that was presented for consideration to the administration, prior administration and certainly to the new administration and the real need for some of those projects or if they were still valid anymore. I promised the mayor that I would give him a verifiable list of capital needs across the district some of which
[1:04:00] may be quite frankly too expensive to undertake and others may be just a matter of putting some resources aside for it but it wouldn’t just be a list on a piece of paper and sent to city government to the mayor. This is going to be a thoughtful process engaging people that know the business and provide the mayor a valuable tool to make good decisions based on good information. And the last one for your consideration is create a cooperative education coordinator position responsible for developing and sustaining partnerships with the community with community and industry organizations expanding high quality work based learning opportunities and connecting students with internships and cooperative education experiences
[1:04:44] that align with the district’s curriculum, career pathways and vocational programs. The initiative will create a coordinated system for employer engagement student placement, workforce workplace preparation, compliance safety and ongoing monitoring to ensure that students have meaningful opportunities to develop academic, technical and employability skills in an authentic workplace setting. Now this is certainly one of those goals that emanated from our discussions during the strategic plan. It became evident that the work that we were doing and I think somebody mentioned it tonight, Ms. Babcock about experiences, you know, real life experiences that these learning environments are great but actually going out into the workplace
[1:05:26] to expand those those talents. And so this will give us that opportunity. This position will help find placements for our young people and work with our CTE programs in particular to help to find new placements. For example, today I just signed an agreement with a nursing facility because one of our other relationships had closed down so we needed to open up a new relationship for our medical assisting students. So it’s kind of a catching up. We don’t want to be behind anything that may be emerging so this position will help coordinate that and ensure that our students have access to great placement opportunities along with some of those relationships that I’ve been trying to build for us as a district with colleges and universities and
[1:06:12] training opportunities. So those are the goals that I’m asking for your approval and consideration of as we go into this school year so that next year at this time, hopefully a little bit earlier, I’ll be able to give you updates and give you my self-evaluation on those goals. Thank you, Superintendent. Does anyone have any questions or comments? Seeing none, Mr. Barros? Thank you and thanks, Superintendent, for presenting that. I think they’re all important. The last one made me more excited because I think it’s crucial and it really it’s important for our student body and what they are looking for. Sometimes our kids are not specifically looking for university, going to a college career, so prioritizing that I think it’s crucial.
[1:07:10] So not saying that all the other goals are not important, they work as important, but that one made me very excited. Thank you. Okay, thank you, Mr. Barros. Make a motion to accept the goals of the Superintendent. Second the motion. The motion has been made and seconded to accept the goals of the Superintendent for 2026-2027. Roll call. Mr. Almeda Barros? Yes. Ms. Babcock? Yes. Ms. Cardello? Yes. Ms. Cornelio? Yes. Ms. Garan? Yes. Mayor Van Canes? Yes. Madam Chair? Yes. So moved, 7-0. So moved, 7-0. Motion passed. Superintendent, the next order of business. Item number five, acceptance of a Career and Technical Education Annex Pilot Program Grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Education in the amount of $1,014,000.
[1:08:00] And this is what I just reported on. This is the dollars that we’ve received and now you’re officially accepting it. Moved. Favorable action. Second the motion. Motion made for favorable action to accept the Career and Technical Education Annex Pilot Program Grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Education in the amount of $1,014,000. Roll call. Mr. Almeda Barros? Yes. Ms. Babcock? Yes. Ms. Cardello? Yes. Ms. Cornelio? Yes. Ms. Garan? Yes. Madam Chair? Yes. So moved, 6-0. So moved, 6-0. Motion passed. Superintendent, the next order of business. Item number six is the acceptance of an early college planning grant in the amount of $25,000 and requesting a favorable action. These were grant funds from DESE, the Department of Elementary and Secondary
[1:08:46] Education. And this is going to help with Everett High School students to take additional courses in college level courses. It’s going to offset some of the expenses related to those early college courses. Favorable action. Motion made for favorable, motion made and seconded for favorable action on the motion. Ms. Babcock? Yes. For the early college planning grant, would this only, would this be, I assume this is for our partnerships like Salem and… Correct. Okay, perfect. Yes. Thank you. Awesome. Yes. That is, that is fantastic. So that they, they’ll be able to get early college credit. Yes. And have that funding supported, which gets them ahead for the future as well. I love it. Thank you, Ms. Babcock.
[1:09:34] Motion has been made and seconded to accept the early college planning grant in the amount of $25,000. Roll call. Mr. Almeda-Barros? Yes. Ms. Babcock? Yes. Ms. Cardello? Yes. Ms. Cornelio? Yes. Ms. Garan? Yes. Madam Chair? Yes. So moved, 6-0. So moved, 6-0. Motion passed. Superintendent of the next order of business. Item number 7 is the acceptance of a donation of gift cards totaling $300 from Zonta Club of Chelsea in the North Shore. I’m asking for your favorable action. These ladies come forward every couple of times a year and this past week and a half ago Christine DiPrisio and Mary Jane O’Neill delivered a market basket gift cards to the office. We took some photos with them and we distribute those to the schools so that they can distribute it to
[1:10:18] families, especially at this time of year. Make a motion for a favorable action. Second the motion. Motion made for a favorable action to accept the donation of the gift cards totaling $300 from the Zonta Club of Chelsea in the North Shore. I’d like to amend that to say and send a letter of thanks. And amend it to say a letter of customary thanks. Roll call. Mr. Almeda-Barros? Yes. Ms. Babcock? Yes. Ms. Cardello? Yes. Ms. Cornelli? Yes. Ms. Garan? Yes. Mayor Van Campen? Yes. Madam Chair? Yes. So moved. 7-0. So moved. 7-0. Motion passed. Superintendent of the next order of business. Item number 8 is acceptance of a grant from the Work Based Learning Alliance in the amount of $1,000. I’m asking for your favorable action on this.
[1:11:02] This is going to allow Everett High School students to participate in a Work Based Learning Alliance Designing a Sustainable Future STEM initiative and this is a challenge and this is an opportunity for them to participate in this after school during the school year and it will allow a number of our students to participate in this after school program. Favorable action. Second. Motion made for favorable action to accept the grant from the Work Based Learning Alliance in the amount of $1,000. Roll call. Mr. Almeda-Barros? Yes. Ms. Babcock? Yes. Ms. Cardello? Yes. Ms. Cornelli? Yes. Ms. Garan? Yes. Mayor Van Campen? Yes. Madam Chair? Yes. So moved. 7-0. Item number nine is request approval of late entries at Everett High School for Wednesday
[1:11:44] January 13, 2027 and Thursday January 14, 2027 to accommodate access testing. I’m asking for your favorable action on this. We’ve done this in recent years and it’s been very, it’s proven to be very successful as we begin to administer the access testing for our students. Favorable action. Second. Mr. Barros? On the motion I would like to perhaps make first a motion to amend the agenda and correct the agenda that the date is 2027, not 2026. Make a motion to amend the agenda to change the year to January 13, 2027 and January 14, 2027. And by the way, that does not change the dates. The date is correct. It’s just the year was typed incorrectly.
[1:12:32] Motion made and seconded to amend the line item to reflect the correct years. All those in favor? Aye. All those opposed? The ayes have it. The item is now amended.
